ABOUT US
HISTORY & MISSION
Maternal Alloimmunization Support was created as the need became increasingly apparent that both advocacy and education were of great need to the community affected by Maternal Alloimmunization and Hemolytic Disease of the Fetus and Newborn. It was founded by members of an online community of patients who feel very passionate about this rare condition.
Our mission is to provide advocacy and support to those affected by maternal alloimmunization and its comorbid condition, hemolytic disease of the fetus and newborn. Maternal Alloimmunization Support aims to prevent stillbirth and neonatal mortality and mobidity caused by HDFN. We strive to provide patient support through education and ensuring that affected families have access to qualified and informed medical teams for during pregnancy as well as for the newborn period. We also have the intent to aid in the improvement of healthcare practices for maternal alloimmunization and hemolytic disease of the fetus and newborn by working with the medical community to establish a standard of care that ensures the fetus and newborn have the best possible outcome. We also are excited to support medical professionals in their research of improved practices and treatment options.
