Megan’s Story

When I was pregnant, we learned our baby had HDFN — a serious condition where my antibodies were attacking his red blood cells. After birth, Revin’s bilirubin levels climbed dangerously high, reaching nearly 30 after he was discharged without any recommended follow-up care.

By the time we brought him back in, he was too sick for a transfusion, so doctors gave him IVIG to slow the destruction of his red blood cells. It worked.

The phototherapy finally started to help, and we avoided brain damage by a razor-thin margin. Today, Revin is a thriving, fearless 4-year-old BMX racer — living proof of how fragile and resilient life can be.
